I received a note from the teacher explaining what the children will learn and experience from this term. There will be songs and rhymes, matching activities, counting activities, picture talk and multi media activities too. The children will be working on a "book project" for Math which will bring them through the world of colours. They will also be introduced to the blue fish, yellow starfish, red crab, orange octopus, pink jellyfish and many more.
Besides the usual letters, the children will also be given activity on the letters c, j, q, r, s, u, x. The activities will include recognizing of the letters, penmanship (correct stroking of letter), items starting with the letters (vocabulary builder and articulation), matching letters and playing of the seashell and blue whale letter game.
In line with their theme of the term, we will be heading to the Underwater World in Sentosa for the next excursion trip. That will be my first playgroup excursion with Heidi.
