The Garden Theme - Term 4

This is going to be another exciting and interesting term for Heidi and her classmates where they will be introduced to gardens meeting pretty flowers, lovely plants, marching ants, busy bees and many more.

The theme wall has been transformed into a beautiful garden. This term, they will get to participate in more songs and rhymes, matching and counting activities, picture talk, leaf pressing, frog and butterfly making, multi media activities and more. They will also be working on exploring shapes where there will be the regular circle, square, oval, rectangle, triangle and also other shapes like the hexagon, trapezium and the diamond.

Topping up the letters, they will also be given activity on letters d,i,v,n,z. Activities will include recognizing the letters, penmanship (correct stroking of the letter), items starting with the letters (vocabulary builder and articulation) and more.

In line with their theme for the term, they will be going for a "gardening trip" to the Singapore Botanical Gardens and the playgroup is in the process of planning with the park for activities for the children as a school group. I was wondering since Heidi has been to the Botanical Gardens countless times, maybe I should suggest a trip to the Hortpark instead?
