Usually when I ask Heidi to "give mummy a kiss", she would just use her cheek to touch my face.
Some weeks ago, while I was feeding her (forgot whether it was for lunch or dinner), she suddenly lurched forward and gave me a peck on my cheek using her lips. I was caught by surprise when she gave me another peck, this time a few seconds longer. I broke into smiles and gave her big kisses.
This evening she did that again. Awwwww.... At that instance, I felt warmth, sweetness and very blessed. These are a few of the many moments when I felt that everything I did for Heidi as a mother (and a stay-at-home mum at that), it was all worth it.
