She loves to go through the fruit and vegetable lanes in the big trolley and touch/feel the different kinds of fruit and vegetables. And it is also from here that she learns to identify fruits like apples, oranges, kiwis, bananas, mangoes, pineapples, lemons etc. We would show and say out to her the various names of the fruits and veggies and at times she would want to hold an apple or tomato in her hands. We also show her which are the garlic, onions, potatoes, broccoli, tomatoes and carrots etc.
And in the wet section of the supermarket, she sees different kinds of seafood like fish, prawns, cuttlefish, shellfish, crabs and even lobsters and frogs. Heidi always enjoy these weekly, simple educational trips to the supermarket.
